I am so proud of all of you.... it wasn't easy at times but you rallied, and made the most of a fantastic experience
We .........................
- put up our tents and patrol shelters
- went on the flying fox (banksia and echidna have no nails left after harnassing 600 girls!!)
- played on the obstacle course
- went to compass town to shop
- made cute "hanging around" trinkets
- made lots of bead creations
- swapped heaps of things for our hats
- were pampered in the pamper parlour
- participated in a wide game (Ewww..... gross food challenge.....lamingtons with vegemite anyone?)
- shopped at Shopping Heaven
- made shapes with string using a compass
- got our hair washed by leaders... or braided depending on the weather
- made rafts that actually floated (and used square lashing!)
- made our own badges J08
- cracked codes
- boiled water in lids
- crossed a river with a full billy
- designed shelters
- were a part of a guides own that made us think about friendship
- went to the city for a day of exploration
- canoed, kayaked and rowed our way around Hen and Chicken Bay (Parramatta River)
- ate dinner at sunset at Homebush Bay
- went on a Harbour Cruise
- went to Homebush Aquatic Centre
- got rained on.... a lot!!!!
- participated in Trading Day.... how cool was that!
- Watched a rock band LIVE!.... "From Day One":CD's available.... just ask Beth!
- were an hour and a half late getting home (sorry parents!)
- made a whole lot of new friends.....and that's what camp is all about.
Banksia and I made some fantastic new friends... and stay tuned for a joint camp between Warragamba, ACT and Miller sometime soon.
Photos are uploading right now.....please comment and tell everyone what you were doing while the photos were being taken. This is your chance and your forum girls..... dont hold back!
